sadly, only through the .dth compiler

The .thc filter should be run first though. If no natural conversion occurs, then, as Bon suggests, the .dth compiler will be necessary.

It's tough to convert to the .ath format; .jew, .mus and .chr all leave artefacts behind that are really difficult to get rid of, even after you've deleted the original files, and they have the potential to corrupt the new .ath file a little.
