Pretty much total shit. This is one of those movies where the fight scenes rotate in 3D.
I didnt see it. Was the lens flare worse than in that new Star Trek movie? I remember them saying most of the lens flare in that movie were actually real, captured by the camera, and although they did look pretty sweet, it was excessive in damn near every shot.
Nice sets, scenes & graphics. Dire otherwise.
What really made me shake my head was the 'trip into the badlands' to see the remonikered Kuato dude. In a previous scene, we saw Big Ben at the bottom of the huge vertical city which spans to the horizon and God only knows how far up. When they go to see the rebel leader, they slip into a hermetically-sealed tube, then go on some long journey out of the city, away from Cohaagen's grasp... only his lair appears to be under the BT tower, which is only about 2 miles the previous scene at Westminster Palace.
Strikes me that some of the evil, all-pervasive gas would've leached over the divide somehow...
Mind you, Quaid did have a fight on the outside of a supersonic lift plunging through the Earth's core, so perhaps it's a minor point to pick.
Just watched it tonight... and agree with the above 2, the lens flair effect was insane. Like someone installed Kai power tools for the first time or something.
loved it! but yeah this lense flare trend wont last, cool effect, but it takes the viewer out of being immersed in the story by reminding him hes looking through a camera lense.
Should have been called Lens Flare: The Movie. Actually was pretty good. Visually it's really impressive.
So this is another interpretation of the book, but the 3 boob girl is there? Get ready for a surprise...
what more do we need? mannnn, i got five kids to feed!
^ All that, IRL. Especially tripple boobs.
Just watched the trailer. twice. looks awesome.
guns, flying cars, triple boobs. what more do you need?
i'm excited. Fuck it, worth watching and it'll have changed so much. Watching the clips that wew posted here makes the original film feel SO retro future. Yesterday's tomorrow as it were.
At least Christopher Nolan would know where to go if he needed some friends.
It isn't a remake. It's reinterpreting the original book, not remaking the movie based on that book. Learn the difference, plebs.
Was a good concept. I am surprised so many liked the original, it was soso at best, imho. Great ideas, mediocre execution.
Remake is fine.
YOU GOTTA GIVE DUH PEEPULL EEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
Is Brett Bash available?
