"I am looking for someone who can take an existing website and design a mobile website home page from the existing site. You will grab colors, design, graphic elements, create graphic elements, from the existing site. Then apply it to a mobile phone design at 300 pixels wide. There will be parameters to work within. I have on average 5 per week and need them turned around in 1-2 days max. This will be an ongoing assignment if the designs are good. Each design pays $30."
How many peso are you being paid?
My yoga class has a really nice font on their window. I want you to use it. It's called Papyrus.
i actually finally got "can you make it blue, it's my uncle's favorite color" from a client recently
I had a guy who after 3 complete redesigns in as many days just started sending over mockups he's put together in powerpoint cut up from my previous work. Said he should get the job cheaper because he had been so prescriptive.
Also spent the whole job trying to scam a rebrand out of us for nothing
Jesus, were there 20 rounds of revisions in the contract?
- What I mean to say is hopefully you're at least getting paid for the extra revisions.elahon
- no worries on that front, it's a big client so they do whatever they want and we bill themjamble
- it's just frustrating going over the same stuff with no end result!jamble
That was ages ago. They're actually full circle and asking for stuff I've done and they said they didn't like.
We've told them they're just wasting budget by trying to design themselves but when logical arguement falls on deaf ears you sometimes just have to type this stuff out to remind you it is actually happening!
On the twentieth round, i would do whatever it takes to move them along.
Then you get on to "my nephew is pretty artistic, I'm going to let him have a go, since you haven't produced anything I like"
'My dog took a shit on the pavement and I thought it looked nice, can we try this?' is next.
true, I fully expect that to be in the next round of revisions!
"my daughter saw it in a shop window and thought it looked nice, can we try this"
Note to client:
"I saw it in a shop window and thought it looked nice, can we try this"
Is not the sort of feedback I want on the 20th design revision.
