Shape tweens man. (Or the Bones tool if you're familiar with it, but this method basically does the same thing.
Start off using just strokes, no fills (Flash has an easier time with the tweens). Create all of the different states. Then shape tween between them using just strokes. Add shape hints to all corners to correct the tween (Match point A in keyframe 1 to point A in keyframe2, etc etc).
Then go in, select all of the frames, and create frame by frame animation. Go into each frame and add your fills...
Voila...

soft body 3D, ie stuff that curls and bends is very cpu intensive in flash.
It will kill performance, let alone with the rest of a site happening at the same time...

ya, man. Papervision or Away3D would do it in a snap. In fact, try some of their tuts, they prolly already have one that does exactly what you need.

Anyone know of some sort of plugin i can use for flash that will bend/manipulate movieclips ?
I'm trying to make paper peel off and then fly but want it to look realistic
