CNN clarifies the network did not pay for the actual interview during CNN Newsroom. However, there's a reason Schuringa has not appeared any further on CNN or any other network - we hear he has asked for additional payment for any future interviews.

His underwear could have packed a punch.
- ukit0
So following past logic everyone will have to remove their underwear at the security check right?

Maybe he was inspired by this guy
- Reminds me of that one episode of Fringe.omgitsacamera

^^i'm usually asleep right up until the moment the twit in the low stitch-count uni gently rubs my shoulder awakening me from my mile-high nocturnal emission only to know that we're going to land safely and destroy what could of been my final moments of bliss

And no more in-flight airshows (the maps on the screen)
Then can just time the flight and use the route maps on the seat-back publications!
How am I supposed to take pictures and geotag them...

This no electronics thing is silly. Like the terrorist, having smuggled the bomb onto the plane through multiple security checkpoints in his underwear, is gonna look at the sign that says "no portable electronic devices" and be like "damn...foiled again."
- Oh, the countermeasures!omgitsacamera
- They are probably mainly doing it to say they are doing somethingukit
- I hope it gets rolled back soon.jfletcher
- Obviously they need a new sign spelling it out clearly - 'no bombs on the plane please'.********

"In e-mails sent over the last six years, and obtained by ABC News, Abdulmutallab worried whether his religion would allow him to attend a high school prom, worried about low college SAT test scores, expressed opposition to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and then prior to breaking with his parents, questioned whether it was okay to lie to deceive the enemy. "
Where do you suppose they got 6 years worth of email history - from his computer, or stored on a server somewhere?

One thing I've never understood...when they take your water bottles or shampoo, whatever...they just toss it in the trash right next to everybody. Theoretically....couldn't that shit blow up?

I just got back from central america. The woman sitting next to me puked into a ziploc bag about 20 minutes before landing...I thought she was puking up a detonator so I tackled her ass and put her in a headlock.
no joke

these people are just failures. They are the ones who study for 6 months for the SAT and forget to sign their name. They are the ones who rebuild a car engine and forget to put the carburetor on. All this preparation and planning and when it comes time for the big show they pull a Milli Vanilli.
It's like we are dealing with the 3 stooges.

Am I the only one wondering how he got past 2 security check points. Since 9/11 most international airports have a a special area for those who travel to UK or the US,
He didn't have a passport nor a visa but the let him fly all the way to detroit,
anyone who have travelled to US/Uk knows the hassle it is...- It was probably because he was flying to D-Town, no one really cared. ;)JackRyan
- if there were dogs at those check points, he wouldn't have gotten past.********
- read the news, he had an american visa********
- ghandolf0
What if they had two lines at the checkpoints? One has a pig at the end of the line that you MUST pet (unholy to Muslims and would prevent you from afterlife virginal frolicking) and you won't be searched. If you don't touch it or are in the other line, you will be searched thoroughly.
- THAT'S FUCKN RACISTGeorgesII
- hahahhaharandommail
- In my experience, those who cry "RACISM" first and loudest, are usually racist.ghandolf
