Pay close attention to the design the Looney Tunes films, btw. Brilliant sense of color, design and composition. Chuck Jones was responsible for a lot of the character work (design and some direction), but the backgrounds and layouts were the work of countless other geniuses, the captain of which was the great Maurice Noble. But yes, Jones's work is lightning in a bottle.

Definitely took Tom and Jerry in a different direction, but certainly a Master in his art. Love the guy and what he did.
