or Time Remap the footage

Okay I'll look into that. thanks.

if time remapping it / stretching it looks bad you can always play with freezing some frames depending on what your doing/what the footage is, such as the end credits for tropic thunder by Prologue (can't think of other examples at the moment)

there are also different ways to blend the frames as it slows down

Yup, enabling Time Remapping is the best place to start most likely.
If the footage lends itself, try and think creatively as well. I recently needed to extend a clip by 2 seconds or so. Since the overall piece had some still (tripod) moments, I was able to duplicate little groups of five frames here and there.

Try to fill in content before just slowing down the entire piece. When you do that, it's a bit like scaling up a low res image in Photoshop, you'll start to see choppiness in the frame rate, then you'll have audio issues if there is audio. Maybe there's a type transition you can put in?

Cool, good to know. I'll just see what the quality looks like when I extend them. Cant do that yet until I get the voiceover files in there and then ill know how long everything needs to be.

we weary of using pixel blend rather than frame blend. can generate artifacts
