I've had several Mighty Mice go down since they came out but still rock it.
I'm curious what mouse out there you guys think is great?

Just scroll down while pressing hard on the "wheel" to disloge any piece of crap. Works everytime.

Carefully unplug the USB cable, take mouse body gently in right hand, coiling unhooked cord loosely around left hand (other way around if you're left-handed!). With free foot, draw waste paper basket near, taking care not to imbalance yourself, then with your arms extended, release grasp on body and cord and let useless waste of resource fall in, to be dumped later on via a series of small journeys, in a landfill site (to be discovered, then shortly thereafter heavily ridiculed by archaeologists of the future).

a toothbrush helps. terrible functionality for sure.

Mine just did the same thing. Try turning it upside down and then work that scroll wheel as hard and as fast as you can in every direction.
(This advice also works in situations when a scroll wheel is not involved.)

Two other ways:
Takes some rubbing alcohol to the ball before you rub it upside down on paper.
Cut thin strips of clear tape and thread them around the ball. This will pull out bits of crap that are otherwise stuck.
I know, that scrollwheel is annoying easy to clog!

Yea they suck, you can fix it the first few times but giving it a good old blow or turning upside down and spinning the ball profusely, however they eventually die. Such a shame as ergonomically they are great.
- ergonomically great?? you can't be serious. trying to use the right button is like typing with mittens.vespa

Worst mouse ever made. Another scrollwheel not working.
