why do you need a truck?
Plenty of attractive cars with 4wd that don't clog up the roads.
- easier to fit your crap in a truck than trying to force it into a little car.dbloc
- I don't know about that, they look bigger but I have only seen a few that are actually roomierformed
- To each their own, though, I just hate that I can't see past your door (from my tiny little sports car ;-) )formed
- +1 formed. i fucking hate driving behind these roaming walls.iCanHazQBN

why am i still reading this thread
- Point50
fuck it, I've got an F150 and an Armada. That Armada gets pretty good gas mileage (on the highway at least) considering it's size

we have 3 cars, a rear wheel drive wagon, front wheel drive turbo, and a 2 seat 4x4 truck. I want to consolidate down to 2 cars and trade at least one in.
I can't deiced on a subaru or audi 4x4 wagon or a pathfinder/xtara type SUV.

I might actually test drive a VW Passat W8 4motion this weekend but I'm afraid I might like it.

so i suppose you can't just buy a car in the US and ship it to europe?
how come i never see cars here with driver's side on the wrong (EU) side?
- LOLJnr_Madison
- that's only the UK, you know, the rest of the EU drives the same as here.Greedo
- and the US gov't has really strict 'safety guidelines', right hand drivers sides just aren't allowedGreedo
- unless the car's over 25 years old and thus an 'antique'Greedo
- for imports, i meanGreedo
- youre wrong. ive seen plenty of right-side drivers in the usa.iCanHazQBN
- i've only ever seen old MGs... oh and postal vans, i guess the all have it, too.Greedo
- saw a right hand drive Supra at the gas station that was slickfooler2

@dbloc: what mountain you go to?
- ETM0
Driven the current Pathfinder and own the platform truck equivalent (Frontier) for weekend warrior stuff. Nice vehicle, good power, bad on gas. The only other issue is the Nissan VQ motors have an issue with timing chain guides that MAY mean you have to have the timing chain serviced sooner than the common 100k miles. Other than that, no real issues I am aware of. Been happy. Resale is good but not up to Honda or Toyota standards.
- When I say bad on gas, I mean the new domestic full sizes ALL get better mileage.ETM
