Without being able to read the strapline, I'd think not.

What is this an ad for and who can I address my written complaint to?
- sikma0
what does it say in the top corner?

DDB Brazil for WWF:
“The tsunami killed 100 times more people than 9/11”
- and then "respect the planet" or something to that degree********
- And a picture of a tsunami overtaking an island would be bad as well.TheBlueOne
- wtf - tastelesssikma
- provocative indeed!ideaist
- and then "respect the planet" or something to that degree
- locustsloth0
That panda's got balls o' brass for being this provocative. Not sure what the tsunami killing people has anything to do with the World Wildlife Fund
- detritus0
Well, it's visually arresting, that's for sure - but it doesn't really convey the magnitude of the tsunami.
I'd also expect it as the output from a different, likely humanitarian-focused, agency - WWF is fucking pandas, man - not people.

- SHOCK HEADLINE
"WWF FUCKS PANDAS!"detritus - damn panda-fucking wrestlers!!locustsloth
- TheBlueOne0
Fucking eco-terrorists.
- dasohr0
well that defiantly is going to rattle some peoples cages.
- harlequino0
This has to be a spec ad right? To show off their fancy pants skills. Hence, the irrellevent and misguided copywriting?
- one would hope so, either way it does a great disservice to the WWF********
- No client would approve that Ever.
EVER.harlequino
- one would hope so, either way it does a great disservice to the WWF

shock advertising
- locustsloth0
Completely ineffective. Anyone who would actually appreciate the magnitude of multiplying 9/11 by a hundred would be completely turned off by the analogy. And even if they weren't, there's nothing to connect it to what the org's aims are
***CONSPIRACY THEORY WARNING***
i wouldn't be surprised if someone unfriendly toward the WWF created and distributed this, as a way to discredit them and diminish their impact and influence (if they had any to begin with)

shock value. meh
- johndiggity0
i am not seeing the connection between a natural disaster that is largely unstoppable and a terrorist attack due to political/religious ideology. but that's just me.
- The difference, is the level of shit most Americans give about loss in other countries, zilch.NONEIS
- what kind of shit?johndiggity
- loss of life, every American = 100 of them foreigners...NONEIS
- benfal990
I dont see how the fuck they related 9/11 with the fact of respecting the planet....
WHAT
THE
HELL ?
- benfal990
EPIC FAIL @ WWF
where's Hulk Hogan?
- goclaygo0
interesting how a Brasil agency made that, i doubt a US firm would ever create such a piece
- Knowing plenty of Brazilians, it makes sense to me. I mean how they would make this.TheBlueOne
- Hey, im Brazilian.. and i would never create such a insensible piece of crap..fabricio2k
- that is why i vanished from there, to not work with these kind of douches...fabricio2k
- I love brazilians, just saying I understand how alot of them think about the US of ATheBlueOne
- Yeah, there is a lot of anti-americanism going on over there unfortunallyfabricio2k
- But that is not an excuse to make bad advertisement, just to get hands on awards..fabricio2k
- not trying to be anti-Brasil in particular, but just funny how a non-american would think to use 9-11 in such a way. Tells me more about how far removed people can be from other people's tragedies.goclaygo

the photoshopping is horrible. student work?
- detritus0
Besides which, the subline in the copy makes Nature sound like an enemy, to be beaten into submission, humiliated - broken.
We'd need to yoink Gaia out of her dank cave in an extraordinary rendition, clap her up in Gitmo and proclaim our success before the world media audience.
