How will we watch the 3D in theaters? Goggles? Those flimsy glasses? I've seen nothing about how the movie in all its 3D glory will be shown that way besides the digital projection.

Titanic was awesome because it made more people "see" Kate Winslet.
This film does look ridiculous and suspiciously reminds me of the predictability of Pocahontas, but also seems like fun. I'd watch it.

In Hinduism, Avatar or Avatara (अवतार, IAST ), often translated into English as incarnation, literally means descent (avatarati) and usually implies a deliberate descent from higher spiritual realms to lower realms of existence for special purposes.

When will animators understand that perfectly symmetrical faces and blemish-free skin is what makes the characters appear fake!
And the skin, why such a saturated bright color when the backgrounds are not so much.

i just saw it in 3d. it's simply breathtaking! in terms of 3d and cgi, no movie has even come close to the realism of avatar. pandora was beautifully rendered, you'd swear they shot it on location.
if you judge the quality based on the storyline, dialogs, and characters then this movie probably isn't for you. but if you want to be entertained and look at eye candy for almost 3 hours, then yes, you must go and see this movie.
