At the moment alarm bells are going off
Someone wants to buy a Car part from me off a well know VW website. The buyer does not have a PayPal account but is getting a friend to transfer the money using his Paypal account, but the buyer then wants me to send to a different address from the paying Paypal account.
Should I just tell the buyer the deal is off, or get him to do a bank Transfer, or open a Paypal account himself.

Slightest doubt in your mind + paypal = run a fucking mile.
Also, don't send anything to their "cousin" in Nigeria.

Just send it to the friend's address in paypal, if they are friends near by he should be able to pick it up. ( i am assuming since someone if paying for it and needs to pay back)

Don't do it.

get a PayPal account. How hard is that? If he can't get a PayPal acct, you prolly don't want to be dealing w/ him in the first place....

I don't fuck with Paypal anymore, period. I got scammed a year ago.
If you have a legitimate receipt for shipping costs (do not throw this shit away), you're safe. Just make sure to declare the value of the item when sending, and insure it.
I would not send it to an address that is not associated with a Paypal account. If the guy who is using his account to pay for it has an address on file, then there's no real issue as long as you send it to THAT address. If he wants you to ship to a different address than the one on the paying account's file, don't do it.
