Handwritten fonts

I'm trying to find a free font which gives a good approximation of readable handwriting. It needs to be legible - probably print rather than cursive.
Main reason I want it to be free is so I can embed it on a website using cufon; but if anyone knows of a decent paid-for font which allows embedding, buying that would be fine.

Not sure if this helps, but Daniel Eatock describes a way of discovering 'your soul's handwriting' and suggests the results could be converted into a font...
"Strap a pen to the back of the hand you don't write with.
