why not just splice up a photo so it actually works. you could even take into account the margins between the thumbnails
- yeah i suppose i could try that next, althought it wasn't necessarily about making a perfect image, more about getting the impression from this way of doing it.

this is driving me crazy. i cant find anything with the google. It was a similar concept as this. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jer…
except it was excecuted really well. everything lined up on the first page of his flickr stream, and it seemed to be made from a single photo, sliced perfectly to fit within the grid.- anyone remember this? i remember seeing a link to it from some design blog a few months ago.baseline_shift

I just arranged 100 tictacs so they spell my name. Haven't got around to pubishing it on the internet yet, but by golly if I do its sure to be a big hit.
