just forget about it google, we don't care anymore

haha, as if the Googleplex gives two shits about flop-wristed effete mac users at this stage. They want geeks and programmers to really push their platform, not useless turtle-necked twats and students on Daddy's dime.

Chrome uses Webkit, which is what Apple did after taking the core of Konqueror to make their own browser.
If you want Chrome on the Mac you have it already (at least the rendering engine) and if you want something more Chrome like you have Safari 4 Beta that even has the same tabs on the top like Chrome

Chrome stinks, this browser has a lot of bugs...

LOL@Naim, enjoy your google branded browser running on Apples engine.

I couldn't give a fuck, personally - I'm just reacting against infantile fanboy teenagers and their self-important delusions. You're not doing much to dissuade my opinion, fiesta.
- Besides which, 'the important bit' in Chrome - the V8 JS engine, has got nothing to do with Safari.Nairn
- And that is, after all, what Google is testing here - a node vehicle for distributed computing applications.Nairn
- Make that powerful enough, and it barely matters what html renderer you rely upon - you just JS-away the glitches.Nairn
- But hey, fanboy away.Nairn
- I love you.dropdown

You can always try Chromium (which is the beta version of Chrome).
http://build.chromium.org/buildb…- I've been using Chromium for Linux for months and it's been cool to see the progress.mrdoob

Chrome is nice for basic browsing on PC, and it is definitely the fastest browser by a long shot. Unfortunately it doesn't have the same plug in support as FF and with a lot of the newer web apps I get a browser not supported message which is annoying.
- designbot0
^ I agree. The speed is nice, but overall it's just not up to par with other browsers. It still seems very beta to me. Google has alot of work to do if they are going to win people over.

i just can't wait for the Delicious tool bar to be released for Chrome and seriously, I think Iam gonna drop Firefox for Chrome at that moment.
- I have. My old machine just lags with the new FF. Shes old and nearly dead.mikotondria3

In my humble opinion, if there is something tho discuss here is how much is Adobe going to suffer because of how much Google (Chrome) has pushed Javascript (and recently HTML5). But maybe this is not the right place.

And the latest serial cut website is a good example of what I mean.

- ukit0
^ Agreed, and that is before you get to new developments like the canvas and video tags. I was reading a post from Adobe on HTML5 and it came off as quite defensive.

Chrome is needed more on Vista than on the mac... Vista's memory handling can suck when you run a browser for a while with flash ads and multiple windows and tabs.,.... any browser except vista has all of it in one process, often using up more and more RAM, whereas chrome has each window in it's own process, therefore less likely to slow your vista pc to a crawl when you have lots of windows open.... even then, it happens sometimes, but vista + chrome = okay ADD browsing, otherwise very irritatingly slow after a while.... MacOS doesn't seem to have this problem with any browser as bad as Vista...
