I worked at a screen printing shop. I was hired on as a "designer," however the job was 15% designing, and 85% printing shirts. I felt like I worked in a sweatshop.

Re IAed and Designed the site for a one man company during my "internship" (which was basically working from home and sending emails with this guy) at the last year of uni, then after getting a degree he remained a regular client for small banners, and small freelance projects. First thing paid i did for him was a bunch of gif banners.

Oh, I forgot, I was the lead designer for the Associated Students at UCSD for a couple of years. I had no formal training and my work showed that, but I loved it. That's what got me into school to really learn graphic design.

first 'real' job (not counting all of those BS local jobs) was a Flash website for the singer 'Amber' from around 1999 or so. She had that clubbish song 'This is your night' (Lyrics were something like..."Dancing free until the morning night' or something along those lines. The site was pure shit now that I think about it. Flash was still new at the time.
