hey if the place your work at. you know. has a fedex account. they get shipping waaaaaaaaaay cheaper. find out how much and if you can get billed by them instead. i think you can save 50% by doing that.

Hmm, that seems really high. I sent a carbon fiber bike (all parts) from the US to Ireland a couple years back (around 2002) and it was about $100. That was closer to 40 lbs.
Be careful, don't get ripped off.

DHL and UPS are the worst, I find, but that's from the USA to Canada, so who knows.

ridiculous prices for this kind of stuff :P
ups quotes me about 300$. dhl 1000$ Must be possible to get under 100$ for a package weighing 30pounds

i got a bunch of stuff i need to ship back to the old world. what are my options except fedex and ups?
usps only seems to be mailing their own cartons witch is too small. im looking to mail something weighing around 33pounds/15kg
