i actually wanted to make a freelance card that said
Art Director, Designer, Copywriter, Producer, Creative Director, Janitor, CEO, Tea boy, Head Strategist, Chief Artworker, Junior Account exec, Vice President of PR....
and have it take up the whole card..
although i've never been famed for my ideas..
never been famed for much/wrists

i like the eyes and colors!
like people on the street say: make it pop! don't let designers tone everything down to just boring type.

had to do it!

i love type and pure typographic skills. but sometimes you need to learn to focus a little bit more on to what other people appreciate. and not just design for yourself as it will not always bring you work.
i must say the eyes are nice, but the type inbetween is in fact rather cluttered.

i agree it is cluttered i am starting on a new idea. i wanted to characterize the eyeball and maybe make it some kind of mark.
"Your business card is CRAP!" clip rules ive seen it

upon reading some other comments (janne76) I have sightly changed my disposition... I agree that the eyeballs are unique and that the type is cluttered. Here's a second round of thoughts:
-scale of eyeballs and amount of them on the card; maybe create variations with lots of them, a few of them, etc - also play with the size, scale and color too
-type is cluttered and unrefined. I play with type scale and heirarchy
-visual heirarchy - very competetive with the eyeballs and type. Again scale of type/eyeballs to create an interesting heirarch.
-Color; competetive color with the gradients, yellow, white all on a charcoal-ish bg. Maybe try other approaches - monochromatic, duotoned, complementary, etc.cheers!

Inflation in graphic design :
5years ago everyone pretended to be an Art Director
3years ago everyone was a Senior Art Director
nowdays I see more and more Creative Director....

^hehe Meeklo has creative director on ihs Bcard :)
my point is not pissing on everyone with CD mentionned on his card.
I'm just saying that once everyone put it cause it sounds cool, then it doesn't make any difference anymore.
I'd tend to think it would give the opposite effect : I'd never trust a 22 years old CD, for me it only says "super ego".I met a CD last year, more than 10 years of experience, giving me a better idea each time he talked to me, showing me the right direction, etc... this comes with experience, it's not just about skills IMO.

i mean, what is that thing? an eyeball? not very appealing...and your copy is not good, as others have said.
start over.

... you've misspelled "VISUAL".

A title is nothing without the work behind it - but at the end of the day people will take you more seriously if they understand your role clearly.
ie. I'm not just a designer, I'm the boss of all creative things in this company.
It packs more punch. The hope is that it will make clients feel like they are getting a better service, and hopefully take you more seriously. If you can establish that respect early on, things will always run more smoothly.
The bottom line is, don't claim something you are not and don't rest on your laurels. Young guns will always make you look dated if you do.

who are you directing creatively?
- dyspl0
tOki- I disagree, being a CD is so more than that.
I've been managing the identity of a sport brand selling worldwide and in the top 5 of its area.
I wasn't even a senior graphic designer, and because I managed all the creative thing I hould have been called a CD?- was inhouse, after 1year I was the only graphic designer.dyspl
