Hey... just arrived in New York. Living in Brooklyn. Looking for a good printer to have some new business cards printed. Any suggestions?
who else is good? I'm looking to print on colored stock (the whole stock is one color including the core)
Anyone know of a local (to NY) shop with a good paper selection?
how about foil stamping?
Yeah... Special finishes etc...
any other suggestions?
Yeah, did some work with Steve over VG, they're definitely quality. Also check out Karr Graphics, in Long Island City, but do excellent work.
bump.....anybody have foilstamping experience in manhattan?
talk to Charlie at K2 Printing.
anybody have any others i should talk to?
art digital and vertical group do foil stamping as well
soooo.....what do you think of New York after living in London?
I realize this doesn't answer your question...I'm just curious
yes what area did you end up?
Call Adam Blum at Hudson Printing: (718) 937-8600 x33
That's where we got ours done. They do great work.
It really depends on what you're looking for, though. I recommended Hudson because they're meticulous and create award-winning offset work (http://www.era404.com/portfolio... They also did our stationery which came out phenominal. It has a bunch of die-cuts and bleeds.
But if you want good specialty printing, contact Greg Zuniss at Aldine (, 800-356-1818). Their letterpress and embossed work is immaculate.
Anyone know of any good printers for business cards that can produce quality cards at an affordable price?
You can bargain down at Aldine
They didnt charge me for rush fee last time.
