Big agencies are the first who feel the crisis in their wallet.
Reasons are monthly wages costs & the fact that they work above the line, and thats just where the companies are cutiting expenses.

And I read somewhere that DG is laying of 10% because of 2mille less income and during inhouse restructuring wich had nothing to do with the crisis etc..

Fear mongering is what you are doing. Just perpetuating the problem by posting stats and creating threads like this. 100 people got laid off who cares. Talk about a drop in the bucket.

When economies go bad the management of small to medium commercial companies have to show their stake holders that they are capable of taking affirmative actions to cut costs very quickly, that's the most common reason for such small scale lay offs.
