Has anyone tried the satelite TV to PC soft things? I'm affraid of paying 50$ and getting a 320X240 compressed feed with horrible sound.

yeah, your tv has to have an input for a laptop. most new tvs do and most laptops do come with connectors all you have to do is plugin

do a dvd
- you have to buy the set of dvds unless you rip them from the site.fusionpixel
- Thought about that, but is kind of a pain in arse.fyoucher1
- or get a composite output on your computer and a looong RCA connector (CINCH/AV) to your tvuan
- plug some wireless sender/reciver boxes in between.uan

also some cable companies allow you to browse the web from your computer with your remote, i would check on that. i know ATT does.
- I have Comcast, dont think they have that...yet.fyoucher1

Problem with that is: TV is on the wall, access to the connections ain't that easy. Plus, I want to sit my lazy self on the bed and watch, which is like 10 feet away (TV is about 6 feet in front of bed).
Wondering if there is some sort of wireless device I can plug in, and then control it via laptop or mouse/keyboard...or some other kind of device even...

i'd recommend hooking up your laptop to your tv using a couple of adapters (SVideo usually is common). then get some wireless keyboard and mouse and utilize the fullscreen function for the video player. that's what i do at home. set the display to mirror.
