Leitura & Leitura Display are gorgeous, on my short list. Leitura Sans not so much, that lowercase a looks bad to me.

Scout is nice, so are Bree, Corpid and Estilo... overall though, I'm not sure I'd call it a stunning year in typography. Some of the other picks look poorly drawn imho.

I sort of like Parry (and Parry Grotesque).
Scout and a couple of the other ones are nice as well.
But I agree - 2008 has not been the greatest year in the history of typography.
