Can I just say don't go to Piccadilly, its crap full of tourists. Go to the Tate Britain, take the Tate to Tate boat down to the Tate modern, then walk over the millennium bridge to ST Pauls, then carry on down to The Tower of London (crown Jewels) and Tower bridge, cross back over walk back up the other side, HMS belfast, the Globe theatre (which is having its roof re thatched) then go to Borough market (big food market) for something to eat.
My big tip though is just walk around buy a map, London is tiny, there are tube stop everywhere so if you get lost, you will stuble onto one. For example Go to westminster, walk through St james Park to Buckingham palace the over mable arch in to Hyde Park, walk though hyde park go to the Serpentine and the you go in to Knights brige for the V&A, Natural history and Science Musemes. Also they have Giant squid in the Natural history Mus, look up there website and book onto the tour to see it.

I heard good things about the wallpaper city guide, so It would be a good idea to buy that one?!

I find the Timeout helpful to find out what's going on, comes out every week. Buy one when you arrive, £2.50 or something.

If money is flexible Id stay here:
Zetter in Clerkenwell (really central and well placed between the west-end and East End)
http://www.thezetter.com/room_ra…
or
High Road House in Chiswick (20 mins from Picc circus. but in a nice part of town and something different)
http://www.highroadhouse.co.uk/3…Other than that look on hotels.com
Other places to go other than what you see written like museums etc...
Borough Market
Brick Lane on a Sunday
Pub crawl in soho
Walk through Hyde Park/Green Park/St James park on to the river. You can pretty much cross London without seeing a car.
Richmond is a great place to spend an afternoon

seems all pretty cool.
I'm really looking for cheap places, like 20pound orso. I will only be there for sleeping.also, I might take a day off at school on friday and monday, so I have an extended weekend.
and it's not really about 'taking a day off'.. I just don't go to school then... lol
This is better i guess. makes it all more doable so I can visit all the stuff i want to see..
- ********0
And I just found out that Brussels -> heathrow is freakin cheap
even cheaper as the train.
- ********0
also funny, no one said to go visit big ben
