"Today the global warming alarmists are the equivalent of the flat-Earthers," Cruz said. "You know it used to be it is accepted scientific wisdom the Earth is flat, and this heretic named Galileo was branded a denier."

NOAA: 2012 broke U.S. heat records

Now 2012 is officially in the books as the hottest year on record for the continental United States and the second-worst for "extreme" weather such as hurricanes, droughts or floods, the U.S. government announced Tuesday.

Billions of snow crabs have disappeared from the waters around Alaska. Scientists say overfishing is not the cause.

The snow crab population shrank from around 8 billion in 2018 to 1 billion in 2021, according to Benjamin Daly, a researcher with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

Litzow says human-caused climate change is a significant factor in the crabs’ alarming disappearance.

Snow crabs are cold-water species and found overwhelmingly in areas where water temperatures are below 2 degrees Celsius, Litzow says. As oceans warm and sea ice disappears, the ocean around Alaska is becoming inhospitable for the species.

Thunberg says she first heard about climate change in 2011, when she was 8 years old, and could not understand why so little was being done about it.[14] Three years later she became depressed and lethargic, stopped talking and eating, and was eventually diagnosed with Asperger syndrome,[15] obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD),[15] and selective mutism.[15][16] While acknowledging that her diagnosis "has limited me before", she does not view her Asperger's as an illness and has instead called it her "superpower".[16]

So for all of you folks who think the world is going to end if we don't do something about man made global warming....I am curious what you are all doing to help the situation? You have passion about this subject, obviously...but is that passion actually transitioning into making a difference? You get all uptight when I post Al Gores Carbon footprint information, but the fact is that he is the man who almost single handedly helped bring Global Warming into public awareness. So the fact that he himself does not practice what he preaches says A LOT.

I fear that many of you here on QBN are no different than Gore. You speak big words on an internet forum but in real life you don't do shit. Words are meaningless without action, and even as a contender of man made global warming I am responsible with the way I live and how I impact the environment. Are you? I am honestly curious. If I knew you in real life and you really stood behind the words you spoke with actions, it would impact me even if we disagreed. I would probably find myself inspired by your actions and willing to follow you based on them alone. It would make words seem pretty meaningless. Nobody is for ruining the earth. But for those of you who are so adamant about this issue, your energy would be better invested in making a difference.

    • is this you backing up your point?lowimpakt

Let's just concur there is indeed a very real debate within the scientific community. There's lots of misinformation happening on both sides. I remember digging into a pro man made global warming article and finding out the study was funded and organized by an environmental organization!

I say let both sides get the proper media attention and let the conclusion be arrived at based on the best minds in discussion and research about it. What I saw personally in the past, is lots of one-sided media hype on the issue. The BBC article I posted is at least evidence ( I think) that the opposing side (against the idea of man made global warming) is actually starting to gain more credibility and momentum.

    • So an Env org cares about the environment and an oil company cares about what?DrBombay
    • it hasn't been a real debate since like the 60s, its been fact and the corporations and governments just went to denial mode.eieio
    • That's false...plain and simple. Otherwise how to you explain all the contrary information and opposing views from the scientific community?designbot
    • Rick, the point he's making is that both have an obvious stake in the outcome. In fact, their survival depends on the outcome.mathinc
    • If it is "fact" how do you explain all the contrary information and opposing views from the scientific community?designbot
    • oops...double post.designbot
    • Tommy, what I said makes no sense whatsoever?DrBombay
    • It makes sense if you're trying to explain the concept of good and evil to a 5 year old. But in this case, no.mathinc
    • If you think it's as easy as saying that environmental org produces agenda-less fact, you're wrong.mathinc
    • It seems silly to be shocked that a manmade global warming study was sponsored by an Env organization.DrBombay
    • I thought KFC sponsored them all!!! OMGWTF!DrBombay
    • Who is shocked? .. the way I read designbots post is that there IS misinformation on both sides.mathinc

The Swede story is from Jan 2019, pre predicting Greta Thurberg's path into the limelight via a series of acts and working with an "eco-profiteer" Ingmar Rentzhog, We Don't Have Time©, "a newly launched social media platform like facebook, instagram but for climate change". Pfft! Greta is (more than likely) a shareholder as she was an initial "employee" of the company and is on the companies prospectus(!). They write more how Greta just the the "tool" Western global elite will leverage as the face of climate change.

The Manufacturing of Greta Thunberg – for Consent series has been written in two volumes.

“This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here. I should be in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you come to us young people for hope. How dare you. You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words, and yet, I’m one of the lucky ones. People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing, we are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you! For more than 30 years the science has been crystal clear. how dare you continue to look away and come here and say that you’re doing enough when the politics and solutions need are still nowhere in sight. You say you hear us and understand the urgency. But no matter how sad and angry I am I do not want to believe that because if you really understood the situation and still kept on failing to act, then you would be evil, and that I refuse to believe.

“There will not be any solutions or plans presented in line with these figures here today, because these numbers are too uncomfortable and you are still not mature enough to tell it like it is. You are failing us. Young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you. If you choose to fail us, I say we will never forgive you. We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line. The world is waking up. Change is coming whether you like it or not.”

It's looking worst day by day.

Experts warn that the massive fires have the ability to severely inhibit the planet’s overall health given that the Amazon spans eight countries — or about 40% of South America — and produces more than 20% of the planet’s oxygen.
