we'd stimulate progress, not just talk about it in campaign commercials...
companies would use plainspeak to describe their businesses...
we'd be our own means of production...
Richard Branson would come to my birthday party.
If We Ran It is a platform for young people and their ideas... and we just launched our new website over at http://www.ifweranit.com
We kindly invite you to come check it out. Thank you.

Sorry, what?

I don´t get it...
but without the logo and the "whatever" above, it would be a very very lovely site
*trying to understand the website

If I ran If We Ran It, I would be more clear on what the heck you are trying to do.
- moamoa0
ok now I get it...
nice idea!

Explain?

the idea's kind of swingin' on WWFT, no?

moamoa, so what you are saying that this is an agency which gets sub cultural ideals and commercializes them in the name individualism while contradicting it by profiting from the very ideals of personal artistic expression.

Everyone is a critic. We are just trying to give the kids a little shine... and a helping hand so that it's them profiting instead of brand death star. I think there is overall an interesting dialogue emerging regarding bottom up innovation vs. top down (brand death star). More to come.

Beer time. Will respond to any Qs etc. tomorrow. Thanks so much for checking out the site. Feedback is appreciated.

Maybe you should cut the enigmatic brand buzz speak and be clear about what you are trying to say.

Here is a better intro.
Submit your ideas etc and we sell it to corps. And if we become popular, we can push stuff from corps to you and your culture.
Maybe I am wrong but I just see it as another sub cultural brand agency while harvesting ideas and selling them.

btw, heard of http://www.tremor.com/ ?

serious? you used the term "young stunner" in an editorial? is the "we" you are referring to everyone you met at a cobra snake party?

'companies would use plainspeak to describe their businesses...'
ironic

I think I am glad I’m not “young” anymore. Or maybe I just peed myself.

Hello Ya'll. Thanks for all the feedback on our initial site / write-up. Special thanks goes to JSK who was kind enough to work with us via e-mail to get it just right. The more we share, the more the idea and story get optimized. Now If We Ran It is coming to you with less BS!
Also, we just introduced a new 'idea aggregator' on the home page. Our hope is that we can get 5K submissions from our audience. What we do with the data, we aren't sure yet. It seems like a fun experiment nevertheless. Looking forward to see how things would be different if you ran it.
