Maybe I've missed something, but there's lots of ads on the tube platforms, in carriages, in the metro... black backgrounds and photos, one of obama outside no 10. one of a golden football, one of a fat kid, one of the hardon collider...
and that's it, no text at all... some kind of teaser campaign.
I assume its for some kind of newspaper/ news channel.
?

yeah, been wondering myself.
unless it's just part of "art on the underground"
there is a little bit of text, but it's just the photographers name and the subject.

actually, if it's in the metro, art on the underground doesn't make much sense. fuck knows.
- flashbender0
does that make it underground art?

Whatever it is you can be sure that you'll feel really fucking angry at investing so much interest in something that starts out as intriguing and esoteric and ends up as a campaign for ING Variables.

you're not wrong.
Its probably fox news coming to the uk or something awful.

"I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you."

oh I forgot about this thread... so they were for The Times newspaper afterall.
They must have spent a fortune on advertising recently, can't get away from the damn thing

"LONDON - The Independent has launched a quick response to The Times' £3m mystery images ad campaign with its own bizarre images, including an exploding planet, boasting that it is ahead of The Times. "

I find these odd. They're almost the antipathy of respectable reporting. They're using cheap Photoshop tricks to show us things that clearly aren't real. Its actually more like anti-news.
I'm really confused, and not in anyway that would leave the marketing people satisfied that they'd done a good job.

Oh wait... is the Cameron Churchill one merely Cameron stood in front of an oil painting of Churchill?... so these are actual shots then, of things that actually happened, not photoshop montages? That makes more sense I guess.
Carry on.

Yeah I found them a bit over-dramatic and ... almost parodyesque
