Okay, earlier I said Lieberman, which is pretty unlikely. Today I'm going to say Giuliani, which is equally unlikely. I like Rudy, though.

It's hard for McCain bc he really has to shore up his weaknesses (economic and conservative bonafides) without scaring away the middle of the road Reagan democrat moderates who have always genuinely liked him. The usual strengths the Republicans have are working against him in this matter....he should pick a whipsmart moderate right guy,but then he would lose even more appeal among the religious right and hardcore red meat conservatives...

Lieberman might even be the smart pick. But I'm sure Lieberman has reservations..if McCain loses, he WILL lose any seniority in the Senate which the democrats are still letting him have.

his economic policies are far from weak. given that supply-side economic policies are the fastest and most efficient paths to national prosperity (and they are, many have tried to criticize this with no success) i'd say mccain will fare well, regardless of his VP pick.
the nation is beginning to finally realize that increasing taxes as some means to prosperity (not very logical) does not work and in fact accomplishes quite the opposite. it stunts the economic growth of the country.
