I have a website that's so green, it's not even online. It's words and images inside of a rectangle scraped into the dirt with a stick. It's linked to other pages by caterpillars and ants. To refresh it, you need to kick it clean with your shoe and rewrite/redraw everything. Different kind of green than what you're talking about, digdre, but still...

My incomplete website is http://www.replete.nu , it's not great, but I like the colour. Even though I hate green.

I think maybe you could look at like you look at type. Most decent typefaces will look out of place somewhere, just as a color will. There's also the matter of taste. Many moons ago when I was a stoner, I thought green was the coolsest color ever.

green, lime green is a basic color for these so called 'web 2.0' sites.
