WhiteFace is right. Time for some classic reggae inspired by the reggae thread......
Trojan Roots Box Set-3 Disc
Trojan Records was started as a division of Island records by Duke Reid and was named after his stereo which he carried around in the back of Trojan trucks from the 70's. Atrue reggae label the biggest names were on it including Bob Marley, Lee Perry, and other small less known Jamaican artists. This compilation includes a hits from Trojan's "roots" catalog. Roots reggae is known for it's social messages and this compilation collects some of those early hits. Perfect for a Friday afternoon.

- The version I've got has a colon in the file names for 14, 28, 29 & 31, which means ..detritus
- .. that Windows simply can't deal with them - so I can't extract them from the archive, rename them .. nada.detritus
- ah, no this one doesn't have colons in themlvl_13
- Sweet, thank you very much! Parts of it otherwise are pretty darned good, so I'll be glad to hear it in full.detritus

Va-Funky 16 Corners
So it's Saturday and it's summer and that means back in the day I used to dig in record stores for obscure vinyl to play on my Technics at home. Fellow crate diggers Egon and Peanut Butter Wolf helped me out though by releasing this stunning compilation on Stone's Throw. Compiled of tracks the 2 found while on a road trip it consists of rare and out of print funk tunes that keep the body moving and compliment the summer's heat quite well. Essential for anyone who has that record store itch or just wants to be transported back in time. Bring the funk.
