I'm looking for examples of ads that use their location in order to function, similar to the mcdonalds sundial and that japanese(?) one where if you sat on the bench it made you look like you had an afro etc..
any leads please?

is that book purely guerilla neue or does it have more 'mainstream', but cleverly concepted/positioned ads? oh and what were those adshell ones where.. damn I can't remember, the bus stop was smashed up or something .. or you had to try and smash it up, maybe it was for toughened glass or something silly? Or was it 3M?

it's more mainstream than guerilla actually... If you look at the "Non-traditional" things from Rethink, that's a good indication of what's in the book...

I saw a nice one on my way to work the other day; a big wall hanging on the outside of a multi story car park which was fake concrete with parking bay markings and signage saying "overspill car parking" with the body of a car attached to it so it stood out perpendicular to the wall. I'll try to find an image, it was the "think differently" campaign, honda maybe? can't remember

this is such a fad at the moment - i am so over it, all these ads everywhere trying to use their environment. enough already! some are clever, others just trying way to hard to be clever and miss the mark completely. ( in auckland any way)

e.g. there are these real shit ones at the moment in auckland buses. they have put stickers on the back of all the bus seats to tell everbody about some new tv system in business class airplanes. what a load of shit - how many bus users fly fucken business class. ah! so glad i am out of here soon.
