For some reason my mac cannot calculate folder size. If I go to get info on a folder most of the time it does not show up, or it displays the folder size but does not recalculate the folder size when you add something to that folder.
I have just deleted 4.3GB off my hard-disk, the folder size calculates I have 9.5GB of space, I take a second look and it now gone up to 10.5GB without me deleting a fucking thing.
Anyone here got this problem?

Nope but incase you don't know http://forums.macrumors.com/ is very handy.
Leopard certainly is still buggy, my dock graphic dissapeared yesterday just leaving the icons there and the stacks wouldnt unstack when I clicked them. Luckily a restart sorted it out as others seem to have the problem permanently

I had that on Tiger - when setting desktop folders to show free space it wouldn't get updated too often. No such problems with Leopard

Do you get the same results if you turn on 'Calculate sizes' in a finder list view? Another thing to try is starting to copy the folder to another volume, and see what 'remaining' size it calculates there...
