The only time I was in Texas was driving cross country, across the panhandle. After about 10minutes into texas, we got pulled over,2 of us were illegal and one was a felon, in an out of state car.
They made us all get out, took every single thing out of the car and searched it, then found my little wooden box with a weed leaf carved in the top. Bingo, they thought as they opened it, but no - it was just rolling tobacco and it did contain rolling papers before they all fucking blew away the instant he opened the box.
So we drove on, slept in that god awful motel that is the only one near the highway near Amarillo, and just as we got back on the highway - the exact fucking thing happened again.
Will never go back unless it's to Austin, which by all accounts is pretty cool.
