It seemed odd to me, the idea seems in some ways seems very simple. I was thinking why no one else has thought of that before. Its pretty amazing, I hope it works. My best friend was diagnosed with leukemia a little while back.
- we as people like to complicate ourselves when natures best designs are so simple really********

you see shit like this and you get all hopeful
and then you think of all the pharmaceutical companies shitting themselves on how they can make out like bandits on radio waves to people and you just want to find one and fork him in the eye and inject him with cancer.
godspeed... hope they get it working
- 'selling' would be the missing word in that sentence7point34

everyone knows someone or has heard of someone that has been diagnosed with some kind of cancer. If this works, that guy will be a hero.

never heard of this story. interesting.
- flashbender0
that's pretty cool.
To 7.34's point. Pharma companies will not let that thing go to market - there is way too much money to be made on "treatments" instead fo a cure.
A cure you only get paid once. Treatments keep you rolling in dough for decades.
- fucking sickening isn't?
7point34 - it7point34
- but even if its not a cure at least its a treatment that wont kill you like chemo does7point34
- Wow i hope we dont live in that world.********
- unfortunately we do live in that world. Why do you think the world is still addicted to oil?flashbender
- that's why the media coverage is so important for this. The more people that know about it, the harder it will be to hide it from the public.dbloc
- oil powers machines, its not affecting life and death...well war does but war and oil should be seperate things********
- right. but they're not. And that is the world we live in. CREAM as the Wu Tang says.flashbender
- cash rules everything around me... nice reference haha +27point34
- RIP ODB********
- wow, maybe the Jihadists are right... money for order is fine but money for evil..must be stopped (optimusprime voice)********
- what am i saying?!??!.********
- fucking sickening isn't?

it's nice to think he wants to survive long enough just to see someone treated. that's a hero. the fact that he did it for kids and not necessarily for himself is honorable

Amazing story, but we shouldn't get out hopes up until it's proven to work. As they say in the report, there have been many false hopes for a cure going back decades. Still, I am optimistic with the advances being made in medical science that many of these terminal illnesses will be cured within our lifetimes.
