i think it's time I gave (visuaal) my small business' logo a facelift as it's transforming.
www.visuaal.com if you wanna see the current brand go here.this is an example of the new brand concept, opinions? Thanks everyone!

Neutra is hottt, it's like futura's quirky sister

Moamoa, how would you suggest i change this brand?

you don´t need:
- est 2007 - company which got their own longer tradition
- brands / print / web - you don´t need this under your wordtry a clear font, NO schnick schnack, no shields ...
look around in the profiles here you will find many good examples

Typeface for 'Visuaal' is lovely, solid and refined but it really doesn't fit into the shape you've created for it. The best one is the last option, however the v is not optically centered in the shape and as such it looks off balance and top heavy, and in the scaled down versions, it starts to break up when it gets very small.
If you're set on the face (and at the moment it is the best element of the identity so far) then start there, and work on a simple mark based on the type alone. This should really be easy as the word is essentially 'visual' so you should find lots to work from.

I like where the V shield idea is going - though the shape, alignment and form are all off. I love Neutra, and think it works well here 0 though moanmoan's right - all that other gumph ain't really working.

'PRINT' and 'WEB' doesn't feel optically central.

you say it's a new 'brand concept' but I can't help but wonder what the 'concept' is.
What is 'brands' btw? (all that type is too thin btw)

Simplify.
make it purely typographic, don't use the ultra light weight for screen.
the shield ads nothing.
Looking at the current brand, I quite like the cross section forming the A's, maybe think about that.
How about using Netura but replace the A's with upside down Vs for a more custom feel.

whats the deal with the design , print and web. its really not nice typography. it works best with just the single V . all the small type dose not look good.
- crayz0
ah yes, i remember the debate about your last logo . the V is miles better than your previous logo.

I like your older one better, this one seems uninspired. maybe im just sick of seeing shields.

Nivea?

the shield seems a little squashed. also it's not refined enough to be a proper shield and not simplified/abstracted enough to be a suggestion of one. Neutra is nice no doubt, but that point on the V clashes with the bulbousness of the shield. Since there is an intentional misspelling of visuaal I would continue to try and work that in.

Do the two A's stand for Alcoholics Anonymous? ;)
I like the older type treatment better but if you want to go in a sans serif driection just make the entire logo trypographic.Unless there is some specific symbolism behind the shield/crest approach.
The V in the shield reminds of something. A cookie comapany or someting. I can't put my finger on it.
If you wanted to create a mark I would ditch the shield or use a basic shape and knock the V out of it in some ingenious way.
- oh yeah an definitley take the brand/print/web out of the logoscrap_paper
- i_monk0
The shield has been neutered, and the 'est 2007' and 'print web crud' stuff is NOT what you put in a logo.
Try combining/overlapping the AAs.
