designing from home vs. office?

I'm a freelance graphic designer, so I do most of my work at home on my own system with my own software for my own clients. I am at a crossroad where I can either work in-house for a design company, or manage my own freelance work for income... I know a decision like this is really just a matter of opinion, but I am curious what kind of advances I can make. I am also curious if anyone knows of a business, or type of business, that employs brand/web design from home more commonly.

It depends on your own preference and how you work. Whether you need a structured environment (which can be either the home or the office, but it is usually the office) or not, etc. View these threads for more info:

I am currenrlt struggling with the same dilema...
I am more than likely going to except a 9-to-5 job that pays extremely well along along with a great benefits package because of the uncertainty of today's economy. However, I am going to continue freelancing for a limited and very selected number of projects that I really enjoy doing, also to stay relavent within the creative community and to earn some extra income.
