4 Alaska Salmon fillets (4 to 6 oz. each), fresh, thawed or frozen
1 Tablespoon olive, canola, peanut or grapeseed oil
2 Tablespoons of your favorite seafood seasoning
1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth
1 Tablespoon butterHeat a heavy nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Brush both sides of salmon with oil. Place salmon in heated skillet and cook, uncovered, about 3 to 4 minutes, until browned. Shake pan occasionally to keep fish from sticking.
Turn salmon over and sprinkle with seafood seasoning. Cover pan tightly and reduce heat to medium. Cook for 2 minutes; add the wine and butter to pan. Continue to cook, uncovered, an additional 4 to 6 minutes for frozen salmon OR 1 to 2 minutes for fresh/thawed fish. Cook just until fish is opaque throughout and sauce is reduced. Drizzle sauce over salmon when serving.

i didn't really read any of this thread other than the last few posts...
but nice work wendog. i love to cook. and i really love to cook for my girl (ahem, wife...sorry so new :)not sure about anyone else, but cooking for someone else just really makes it that much better of an experience. i mean, you can test cook things all day, but to see someone else try your spur-of-the-moment concoction recipe is great. obviously, you always have to continue to taste the food as you work through the recipe, but to see what someone else thinks of it at the end is great.
although, i have had to just straight up throw shit away because i went off on some stupid tangent haha!- i hate when i use the same adjective in the same paragraph! great!lvl_13

nono agreed - i just wanted to taste this salmon from whole foods...it was actually good, despite being flash frozen -
I dunno I just wanted to make sure it was good, and I want to be able to just do it from scratch in front of her, so it looks like im winging it

its really all about just manning up - Im 24 and I want to start living it up, you know...cooking is a great thing for just relaxing and good hospitality to guests (particularly female guests)...I dunno, I want to be that guy who can cook - thanks lvl

absolutely, wendog. i'm 31, so you are way ahead of me :D but i have always loved to cook. especially for other people/events. i think the whole idea of cooking a meal is so similar to design in an odd/not so odd sort of way. it's really all about creation.

totally man - well i try to be ahead of the game ;)
JK, but yeah - I like to put care and love into my design, but also when I cook...It's hard to go wrong when you do that for either discipline

it means everything!
- Jaline0
we don't know anything about her...

Next time crumble some paracetamol into her main. That way she won't get a headache, and if she says she has she's lying and thinks you suck
- ********0
It means she didn't want to put out.
Congratulations on the meal, you probably should have spent more time on your own appearance though.
- that cold sore wasn't too inviting********
