I know how to surf on the snow! Haven't done it quite a while, but Tahoe used to be my home turf.

Live in Santa Monica, so pretty much any place going north on Hwy 1 - Sunset Point, Malibu, Zuma, Leo Carillo, County Line. Grew up on Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard - winters can go off up there. Still like to pack the boards whenever I visit the folks. Also like to drive further north and hit places like River Mouth, California St. and Rincon.

i found a body board in the trash and floated around in a lake today

I'll usually fucking off down to noosa when it's firing, but home break here is Tai Long Wan. It very rarely gets epic...usually dealing with 4-5ft onshore slop...but it's fun. There are some secret spots around that you can get to by boat usually firing around xmas with the NE Monsoon swells...or July-Oct with the typhoons.

Sometimes, Belhaven bay and coldingham / peasbay in Scotland, it's hella cold he he, it's not amazing surfing but it is good enough for a laugh and you sometimes get generous waves.

someone needs to inform me of surfing in seattle area as I am moving there soon.
- 2–3 hr. drive to the far side of the Cascades from what I hear. That's from downtown Seattle.gramme
- Waves often unsurfably large and unruly in winter & spring.gramme
- There are sandbars and rock reefs, some cobblestone points.gramme
- is it worth trying? Ive been landlocked for so long and ive always wanted to surf. Used to bodyboard in South Carolina occasionally.cityofmichael
- Def. worth it, but wait till summer if you're rusty.gramme
