given the fact that it is entirely surrounded by a very obviously actively farmed arable field I would doubt it is anything sinister at all.

Sometimes when I am bored I google map remote places; I found this cool structure by Churchill Manitoba. Apparently it's Prince of Wales Fort or something from the 1700s. Zoom out, look at how remote that is. Scary.
