'NBA JAM' Returns Exclusively for Wii (Update)

January 4, 2010 - A report by ESPN says a source has confirmed the new sports title by Electronic Arts is none other than an "update" to the NBA JAM basketball series exclusive for the Wii.No other details, such as team rosters, were revealed. The report does say, however, the title will ship to retail, meaning this could be more than just a touched-up remake of the original.
Electronic Arts is expected to officially announce the title later this month.
Last month, community manager Alain Quinto wrote on Twitter EA Sports is cooking up something new. "Just heard the execs at EA SPORTS will announce a new game sometime in January," he wrote. "I wonder what it'll be?"
IGN has contacted Electronic Arts for additional info. We'll update this story if we hear anything new.
Update: EA has told IGN the official announcement is taking place on January 11.

I don't know why they didn't update games like NFL Blitz or NBA Jam sooner.
I recently played a demo of an equivalent 3 on 3 NHL game that was fun, but was lacking just a tiny bit. Still.... good times.
