Kind of strange you can just buy one and give it to someone... can you do that with Oscars and stuff? Is there a "www.oscars.com/store" site out there where you can pick one of those little dudes up for, say, $250 or $300? The way the organizers make it sound, this is the equivalent to that Oscars, right?

I have to clarify, you can't just buy a pencil. If you are a part of the winning team, you can purchase additional pencils for the rest of your team members. But you still have to win first and prove that it's you work.

C'mon people. If you win, you are placed in The One Club Design Annual. It's great publicity for designers and bragging rights. And yes, many companies use the annuals as resources.

- not to sound rediculous but... One Show Awards are predominately given out to the same ad accounts every year.
Iggyboo - That being said, they do have great work in it... I think any designer should take a look at the books each year. They do have some of the best work in it. I guess there are only so few companies with ad budgets that can afford great stuff.Iggyboo

I'm sure your Design Annual to end all Design Annuals is really awesome and I don't doubt designerZ are storming the ballots for their work to be included those sealing their fate as an immortal designer.
The design of the books I saw on your site isn't that bad, I kindof like the idea of sticking the page numbers of your immortal designs to the cover of the book.. And their are rather large books, that always catches people's eyes..
You or whatever wizard is behind the One Club cult has done a good job and I hope you success.
Just don't advertise on newstoday if you don't want to get your feelings hurt.

Trust me, I can handle the petty insults. But I agree with Randd & Czawada. The One Club has worked hard to create a name for itself and I am proud of the work my organization has done. I did not post info about The One Show with the hope that bitter individuals would throw barbs my way. I wanted to give talented designers the opportunity to build their brand. Sorry I attempted to celebrate creativity in graphic design. What was I thinking?

The Design Annual is pretty new, so I'm not sure if brick and motor stores have them yet. If you're in the New York area, you can visit our library.
