Looks like I'll need both.
Thanks for the feedback.Not Fouty. Was Superculture. Until QBN stopped letting me log in. When I go to the "reset password" link in my email, it brings up a 404 page. FAIL!

All depends on what kind of work you do. If you mostly do interactive stuff you obviously don't need a physical portfolio.

Certain studios like to see printed portfolios and others don't need them. Some of them get all hot over hand bound/produced portfolios. Others don't care.
I would say find the ones you want to work for, call them and ask what they like.

If you're print based they want to see it, not on a screen.
If you're screen based they want to see it, not on a print out.
If you're a combination, you'll need to show both.

I think that either way having a printed and bound version of your portfolio just looks more impressive. The extra effort I think speaks for your work effort and could be the determining factor in selecting you over someone else.
