This is not a personal stab at the marketing people where I work, they are all good people.
But man, the marketing mentality is so lame.
I created this badass, hollywood style Flash banner with strobe effects and lighting effects and perfect sense of timing in both message and delivery...
but NOooo. They think its too flashy and that the effects dont add anything to it. They just want a guys head floating there with a logo next to it and the text right there with no animation. Straight to the point and boring. Why do I even bother giving them that good stuff when it just gets castrated to the point of it being just another boring ad?
I gave them something that would catch everyones attention and they just dont get it.

and finally it had a 30k requirement. So that was a challenge in itself to keep it low bandwidth like that.

yours sets a very nice stage and tone which relates directly to the subject. theirs is stale and bland and would get passed over in a heartbeat on a page. nicely done dude.
