Thanks for that, DragoLatino - I hadn't Googled for 'Head Mounted Displays' - turns out there's quite a few products out there.. I just haven't seen it as part of the mainstream for years.
One thing I've always wanted is a 'Fruityloops' in VR - to be able to pull and warp sound in 3d space - merge different timelines and intuitively play the tune as it goes on.. *creams self

So, another major bump. This is actually becoming a really important thing now, worthy of spending my own personal time and late nights learning it. Obviously the next big thing (might already be, think it'll be a common thing fairly soon though). I feel like this is going to take over everything.
Does anyone here have any experience with VR? Where should I go about learning it? Any tips would be hugely appreciated.

What was the movie where they were trying to get into a hotel room to use some VR file system thing, where they would search it flying through a bunch of idiotic storage devices and such?
F'ing stupid! There's you answer for why you don't see that stuff much then, the visuals made everyone sick!

- That film was a fucking embarrassment. What's worse is Gibson wrote the screenplay.Continuity

You know how when you're on your smartphone and you get enveloped, and block out what's happening in reality? That's your virtual reality right there.
Virtual reality, time travel, alternate realities. It's all right here, right now, but no one wants to believe it.

I have the Playstation VR preordered, people that tried it say it's decent stuff, of course not as awesome as HTC Vive.

OK, so the hardware's out there - but what about the software?
I don't know of any games that are compatible - nor any sites or works - anyone here know of anything?
Anyone ever had any involvement?

The design is as brutal as it is simplistic. Luckey took three explosive charge modules from a “different project” he’s been working on and mounted them on a Meta Quest Pro headset. The chargers are connected to a narrow-band photosensor that detects when “the screen flashes red at a specific frequency,” at which point the charges are fired, destroying the user’s brain in the process.
