If he doesn't realize that he's a prick at the age he's at there's nothing I coulda said to him to enlighten him to that fact.And I gave him a "tip"..if he was smart he'll pick up on it..other than that I gave him something to bitch to his boyfriend about when he got home.

People tip based on what they see others doing. I've seen big differences in different classes of people when they tip. Some think 5% is enough, while i've heard the norm is 15% of total bill, don't forget the tax you cheap mofo.
I'm normally around the 15%-20% range, higher if I'm a reg and she's cute. Sorry dudes, you fo'sure get less.
But some of my other friends have said 10% is good... not sure how to tell them, it's cheap... but then again, not my place

I had that in Rome, we were eating and they started clearing up all the tables around us outside, stacking chairs etc... When I paid I took off the service and left... the waitress called me back to the restaurant ad ended up in the backroom where the 20 stone boss was on his calculator sorting out the takings... the waitress started having a go... he turns to me, and I say the service wasn't up to it.. and he goes 'ok'...
the waitress looked quite worried when i then walked out

i almost always tip at least 25%. my story was just based on the fact that my girl is a badass. plain and simple.

I haven't met any asshole-ish waiters, thankfully, but I'm guessing there are many in bigger cities.
