Had a friend tell me that most Interactive awards, ie FWA, Cannes Lions, CLios, One Shows, etc are all just incestuous industry awards to generate buzz within the industry...

I still have the HOW self promo issue that got me interested in design from 1997 ... maybe one or two designers in there that I still hear about.
It's all bullshit. Do what you love and awards don't mean fuck on a stick.
