So I freelance for this agency that has a client for whom I do a lot of photoshop imaging. A couple of weeks ago they tell me they want some images adjusted. The images were done over a year ago and approved by the client. So I do the changes and sent them my bill. I just got an email from the agency that says that the client refuses to pay for the changes because the work "should have been done right in the first place". I'm like, wtf? I wrote them back saying that if they didn't like the work a year and a half ago why the fuck did they approve it? And why oh why do they want the changes now?
I'm so pissed yet I have so much work from them I can't afford to lose them as a client.

how much $$? It sucks but sometimes, you have to eat some shit from a major client. Can you negotiate to comprmise on a middle point dollar-wise?

if they approved it all you need do is resend the invoice along with a copy of their signed approval and an added fee for copying the approval and including it.
If they're acting the cunt like that it means they can't really be arsed whether or not your relationship with them goes tits up (if that is their attitude it already has gone tits up)

you dont work directly with client, you work for agency. the client pays the agency.
it doesnt matter the client pays them or not, the agency contracted you to work for the agency.

Ah yes, MrD is right. I missed the agency/middle man aspect. Agency owes YOU. The client not paying is their problem.

yep, if the client is not paying is the agency's problem, I'm gonna stick to that. I have signed/paid invocies and emails with approvals for all the work.
