What is it like there?
Looks very sleepy from what I can dig up. Lots of really old grey buildings and a million miles of sandy coastline

I quite like it there... mainly because of the beach. Actual fucking sand, rather than stones and pebbles.
Not too sure about the nightlife, but like any city, every taste or perversion will be catered for, you just gotta find it :)

Basically everywhere in the UK is a bit shit - except London.
And you might want to check out our annual rainfall before getting excited about a sandy beach, because mostly there'll just be a howling fucking gale and stinging sleet outside your front door.
