Desigfn scene is always good but sounds like you'd be better off at production work as your lack of fulltime commitment will show and if you go down a route of not telling people your intentions to travel you'll piss people off and get a bad rep in what can be a small world.

unless you are lucky enough to get onto the books of an agency that dishes out work to freelancers, that way you might be able to do your work on the move nomatter where you are.
the weather is also crap right now so i wouldnae bother mate ;)

if your only here for a year and you want to travel heaps, probably best off going freelance.

Well there's lots of jobs for talent from anywhere.
Good luck on finding one that lets you "travel as much as possible" though.
I think you're more likely to be worked to the bone with unpaid overtime and 2 weeks holiday.

i am planning to move to the uk from toronto canada. how is the design market right now? how do studios feel about talent from canada?
my goal is to find a design job and travel as much as possible. and i want to do it for about a year or so. what do you guys think?
