Does someone have an example of a proposal for an internet ad campaign?
I've never sold ads on my site before, but just got approached by a fucking huge ad agency with a ridunkulous budget for a campaign and they want a proposal from me by the end of the day (in an hour or so)..
I have no idea what one of these things is even supposed to look like..anyone have an example?
Thanks..

Google "media kit" or "advertise online media kit rates", etc. from any website out there. You'll find plenty that also include rates.
As far as rates - search for "industry standard CPM". If you have someone that wants to be a site sponsor - you can pretty much make up your own prices.
Some of the big sites like Yahoo, etc. sell CPMs on their high profile sizes at somewhere between $5 and $10 depending on the site.
Some of the ad networks like valueclick, doubleclick offer their clients CPMS that average between 50c and $1.

Yeah, but how do I price out this whole CPM per impression thing??
- TheBlueOne0
I mean they're asking me for what would be included in a $5000 and/or $10000 monthly buy...How do I break that into CPM for both, considering we've already agreed on the size/location part? I mean if it's say $1.50 per CPM do I break that out according to whatever so it ads up to the total?
And should the CPM change dependent on the ad media being servid - i.e a jpeg banner vs. soe kinda rich media content?
I'm such a nOOb at this shit...

Oh well..nevermind..I don't understand this CPM/ exposure shit at all..I'd rather pass on this and not get stuck in a bad deal and have flash shit all over my site for months and not be compensated properly... I don't like when people call me up with no notice anyway and want turnaround in an hour or so..
I'm going to need to educate myself on this stuff quick...

Man, if they're offering anything like $5 - 10k pcm, it'd be worth you doing this, and well.
It'd probably be worth paying a professional to manage/broker it - anyone here know of any such service?
'By the end of today' is a very demanding ask though - why their hurry?
Good luck, fella.

Thanks Nairn..yeah I know it's worth my while, but on the flipside I don't know enough about it and don't want to make a bad deal..
I mean, how does this work? Do I have to gaurantee a certain number of impressions and they pay out for whatever the actual number is as long as it's in the budget?

My site gets decent traffic, but I can't give impressions in the millions, and they want to pay around 2.50 CPM for a 5k total campaign..I mean if it comes well under the million, does that mean I get like $12 bucks or soemthing for splashing blinking flash ads all over my site?
And this is for a beer company with a solid agency behind them
