and at thank god there wasn't a I hate/love helvetica poster/book/movie/song included in his portfolio...that kind of work just needs to be stopped

I think his work is BORING AS HELL!!!! It's so forgettable that I am already making an effort to remember why I am typing this.
But it's good. He is clearly displayin' stuff that most students (bad ones and average ones) can't produce. I say dude's got a future in the field, maybe not a as a superstar designer that sets trends or steals ideas and people end up thinking those ideas where solely his.
Simply by seeing that the kind has a sense of space, negative space, typography, colour, blah blah blah, it says a lot about whether this kid can make it in the field as a normal working professional.
